A Big Salute
Penned in the perspective of a middle-aged emotional person whose big brother is saying his goodbyes while moving on in life...
PS: Big bro is silent, wise, motivating and happens to be a great cook! Also, the poem is aligned in the shape of a sail boat to be bring out the spicy fact of life..."we go where the wind takes us".
A BIG SALUTE
Big brother is home going
Leaving behind overflowing
Vessels of sweet memories
As many a hearts’ melodies
The deft emotionless stature
The silent sense of humour
The cool composed approach
calculated talks with no reproach
Hit lives better than aimed darts
Truly inspired many hearts
To taste your dishes: no doubts
Water in anguish many mouths
Your strangely silent posture
Is but your loudest signature
In these departing moments
Your people foil torments
Brother, husband, father...well sufficed
Quite an audience you have enticed
East or west-there isn’t another
A big salute to a big brother
